Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) is the largest sport aviation organization in the world with over 170,000 members in over 2,500 chartered clubs. AMA District VII consists of the 249 AMA Chartered clubs in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Iowa City, Iowa.  The Aerohawks meetings are the first Tuesday of each month at the Recreation Center at Gilbert and Burlington in Iowa City.

CR Cedar Rapids Skyhawks

Founded in 1962, the Cedar Rapids Skyhawks is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting aeromodeling in the Cedar Rapids area. The club supports local groups that work with young people, such as Tanager Place. Club members love to work with young student pilots to help them develop self confidence, and to become skilled pilots. Skyhawks club officers are currently working to acquire a new flying site. The new site will allow the people of Cedar Rapids and surrounding communities to better experience the fun and excitement of model aviation.

MorrisonMorrison Model Aircraft Flyers

A non-profit organization dedicated to promoting interest and instruction in radio controlled aircraft.  We are a small club of approximately 30 members.  Most of us are from the Northwestern IL and Eastern Iowa community.  Our airfield is located North of Morrison Illinois inside Rockwood State Park.  All persons flying at the airfield must be an active member of the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics).  Visitors are welcome.

QC Quad City Skyraiders

The Quad City Skyraiders was formed back in the early 80’s by a group of Radio Control airplane enthusiasts. Our goal is the promotion and flying of the exciting hobby of Radio Control Airplanes. If you would like to learn how to fly RC airplanes quickly and safely, we suggest joining a local club. In addition to expert help, you will learn what local flyers are flying and what they can suggest for your 1st. airplane/helicopter.

 

Sooland Sooland RC Modelers

Located where Iowa, South Dakota, and Nebraska meet. The Sooland Radio Control Modelers Club is dedicated to promoting the sport of model aircraft building and flying among the club members and the community in a safe and enjoyable manner. SpoonRiverSpoon River Flyers

The SPOON RIVER FLYERS started out with a meeting held at Elmwood Pizza Co. on the evening of January 3 1995. There were just a handful of members at that first meeting. From those humble beginnings The Spoon River Flyers has grown to over 50 members spread out over the area. Many members are from the Galesburg area but we have members from as far away as Bushnell and Hanna City. Our flying field is located 3/4 mile NE of Maquon on Douglas Blacktop. We have bi-monthly meetings that are held at the club field in Maquon when weather permits and at the Hungry Hobo restaurant in Galesburg during inclement weather. Club Dues are $30 annually.

QuadQuad Cities RC Whirleybirds

The Quad Cities RC Whirleybirds was formed in 2003 by a group of helicopter enthusiasts from the three metro area Radio Control Clubs (Davenport Radio Control Society, Quad City Skyraiders, and the Milan Cloud Dusters.
